Overview
Your privacy is the highest priority in the Thoughts application (“the App”). Thoughts is a personal journal designed with an offline-first, privacy-by-design architecture. This policy outlines our data practices in full.
Your Journal Data is Private & Local
We do not have access to your journal entries — ever. All content you create in Thoughts is stored exclusively and locally on your device. It is never transmitted to or stored on any of our servers.
You have complete control over your data. The App provides tools to back up your journal to personal cloud storage of your choice, or to permanently wipe all data from your device at any time.
Information We Do Collect
While your journal stays private, we collect limited anonymous data to keep the App running well:
- →Analytics Data (Anonymous): Crash reports, session duration, and device type — to improve App performance. This data is never linked to you or your journal entries.
- →Advertising Data: Third-party ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob) may use device identifiers to serve personalized ads. We do not share personal information with them.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
